Airforce City - Clark Field Pampanga

A huge field with plenty of planes lying about spells - KIDS FUN TIME (and tired mommas running after their kiddos)!

It is very seldom we get to see such huge spaces - for our children to run wild and get crazy and I am glad this was part of the school's fieldtrip itinerary.

DinosoaurROARR Land

Finally got to visit Dinosaur Island in Clark Pampanga as part of my kiddo's school field trip.

Dinosaur Island is tagged as the 1st (and I think only) Animatronic Dinosaur Park in the country.

I was really impressed to find gigantic and life like  (moving) dinosaurs for the first time.  They all looked very real and it took me a while to explain to my son that these dinosaurs are fake.

For a 5 year old's wild imagination,
the dinosaurs looked real alright!

My son was second guessing "to pose or not to pose"
beside Mr. T (Rex)!

The park entrance has a tall and huge wooden gate (similar to the Jurassic movies) that keeps visitors guessing what is inside.

1. Guests are first led to a  Dinosaur Trail.  Here expect to see: Brontosaurus, Tyrannosaurus Rex, Brachiosaurus, Spirosaurus, Stegosaurus, Triceratops, Iritator, Raptors, Rhinoceros, Iguanodon, and many more!

2. The park also houses a small museum (dinosaur fossils) ~ not really interesting.

3. After the tour, we were seated and entertained to some dancing dinosaurs (it was really funny, you know these guys are just in dinosaur costume and yet when they try to scare, some were actually scared).

4. An optional extra-pay tour is the Jurassic Safari "Adventure" Ride.   We rode on motorized carts on tracks and were chased by the same dancing dinosaurs (Remember to keep extra attention on your kids and explain that these dinosaurs are not real. I saw one child, who ended up crying).

Entrance fee as posted in their facebook site:
Adult - Php 350.00
Kids - Php 300.00
FREE for 2yrs old and below.

Jurassic Safari Ride
Entrance fee - Php 150.00

Dinosaur Island is located along Gil Puyat Ave. Clark Freeport Zone Angeles City Pampanga. (near El Kabayo at the back of Clark Pinic Grounds)
is open daily from 9am to 5pm.

Paradise Ranch Clark Pampanga

Paradise Ranch is a perfect family park located at Sacobia Valley.  It shares the same entrance as the Zoocobia Zoo.

For a little over P450 you get to enjoy both Zoocobia and Paradise Ranch.

The inside of the park was a feast to our eyes.  Trees and plants everywhere with garden beautifully manicured and maintained.

We took a raft going to the middle of a man made pond and fed fishes.  My boys were ecstatic to see all the fishes get excited over fish food.

Kuya asking for more fish food from our tour guide.

There were few butterflies inside the butterfly sanctuary, I wish there could be more.

Atleast they have this cool bench, good for picture perfect moments.  Cheers!

One of the beautifullly kept gardens that surrounds the park.

My boys did not mind a little bit of hiking.  They were so enthralled by the beauty of the park.

Peacocks freely roam the park

 Just lovely....

Mequeni Cafe and Restaurant (Holiday Inn Clark Pampanga)

After all the wonderful reviews I have read in the net, we just had to try out this 4.5 stars Trip Advisor recommended restaurant.

We went there for night time snacks. Was happy to see that pastries were sold at discounted prices. I guess we came in just before closing time.

My husband ordered croissant,sugar-coated donut and carrot cake for sharing.

My boys had cold chocolate drinks, while me and hubby had coffee (sorry no picture of the coffee).

Can't say anything extra-ordinary about the pastries and drinks.  It was just okay for me.  I think I was expecting something extra.

After eating, we paid our bill and left for our hotel room.

When we got to our hotel room, my boys got excited over  Belgian chocolates, housekeeping left in our room.

The kiddos were all smiles as they munch on the token chocolates!  Now this was the extra I was looking for earlier at the Mequeni coffe shop.

Yummy chocolates :P

Buffet breakfast came free with our room package.  The food spread was plenty and varied, unfortunately we were still full from our late night eating.

The boys instead feasted on fruits and light bread :P

NOTE TO SELF: "Remember, NO late snacks before an early morning feast :D "

A Perfect Family Holiday in(n) Clark

It was a perfect pre-New Year holiday for us at Holiday Inn at Clark Pampanga.  My boys rocked the place and we had a splendid good bonding time!

The room we stayed in was just basic, but the warm service of the staff spelled the difference.

Picture perfect decorations!  My kiddo simply enjoyed posing...

What can I say my boy loves the camera!

Kuya's early morning dip :) brrr!!!

My boys spent hours at the hotel pool, game room and kiddie play room. I was not surprised my youngest threw a drama when it was time to leave.

The trick is on the wrist!  Kuya won the game like a pro...

Love, love, love Holiday Inn Clark Pampanga!

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: (1) Must visit Zoocobia and Paradise Ranch (2) For PX shopping head straight to Puregold. We dropped by other duty free shops, but were dismayed by the lack/quality of items sold. Save time and head straight to PG. (3) Breakfast at Mequeni was perfect. Indeed the best breakfast in Clark Pampanga.
