BELO BABY'S GUARANTEE
  • 100% CERTIFIED ALL NATURAL INGREDIENTS
  • NO HARMFUL INGREDIENTS

Belo Baby Products were clinically proven gentle on the skin for everyday use. Ingredients used are certified natural, safe and gentle. Meaning ZERO harmful chemicals and ingredients. Belo Baby products main ingredients include:

Cocoa Butter is an ingredient that contains antioxidant qualities that protect skin from the outside. It keeps the skin healthy by strengthening and deeply moisturizing it. With its anti-inflammatory properties, it also relieves common skin irritations like rashes.

Shea Butter is a known superfood for the skin, as well as the hair. It heals, protects, nourishes, and moisturizes skin from damage and dryness. Because it is natural, gentle, and soft, it is suitable for all skin types especially the delicate and sensitive skin of babies. It naturally heals common skin conditions of babies like eczema and diaper rash.

Sweet Almond Oil has the ability to lock moisture into the skin. It is also a good exfoliator to help remove dead skin cells and stimulate the development of healthier skin. It is generally safe for all skin types, including delicate baby skin.

If you are a meticulous mommy like me and The BELO BABY'S MOMBASSADORS: Patty Laurel - Filart Kelly Misa - Fernandez Nicole Fernandez - delos Angeles, then choose safer alternatives and steer clear from products with harmful chemicals and ingredients (often present in other products) like:

Tetrasodium EDTA

A preservative that's made from the known carcinogens formaldehyde and sodium cyanide. It is also a penetration enhancer, meaning it breaks down the skin's protective barrier, going right into the bloodstream.

Magnesium Sulfate

An ingredient that strips the skin of its natural oils and increases penetration of the skin surface. It is also an irritant for people with sensitive skin or eczema.

Sodium Tallowate

A sulfractant for cleansing and boosting foam in cosmetic products.

Phthalates

A chemical ingredient used as a plasticizer to soften plastics. It is also an ingredient in baby products to help lotions penetrate and soften the skin and make fragrances last longer.

Parabens

A preservative used to extend the shelf life of food and cosmetic products by preventing mold and bacteria growth.

Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS)

A cleansing and foaming agent used in soap, shampoo and washes. This ingredient can irritate the skin when used often or in high concentrations.

Formaldehyde

A highly effective preservative and disinfectant, and a component in products like paints, car parts, plastics, carpets, and cleaning products. Many baby shampoos and body washes contain formaldehyde releasers that keep bacteria from growing in the product. It is dangerous when inhaled in large amounts.

Tetrasodium Etidronate

A chelating agent and preservative used to prevent a change in color, texture and fragrance in cosmetics, soaps and shampoos. It can irritate skin conditions and is sometimes considered as carcinogenic.

Dmdm Hydantoin
A formaldehyde-donor preservative that prevents the spoilage of cosmetics and personal care products. When absorbed by skin in large amounts, it can cause formaldehyde allergies like skin irritation.

PRODUCT TESTING

I was automatically drawn to the sweet baby scent of the Belo Baby Colognes. The cologne comes in three (3) scents: Sweet Snuggle, Happy Tickle and Cool Drizzle. The Cool Drizzle is my hands-down favorite.  I dabbed some on my shirt and loved the lingering baby smell.  And oh, it went straight to my bag.

I and I also tried the Belo Baby Face and Body Lotion.  It has a subtle scent compared to the cologne I first tested.  It was rich, but not greasy.  I liked soft after feel it leaves on my skin. I can't stop smelling my hands every now and then ~ it smells like a baby.

I have yet to try the other products, especially the Belo Baby Hair and Body Wash. I am a fan of dual purpose products, but can hardly find such in supermarkets. I am certain my 7 year old will appreciate this.

Heart-Healthy Recipes in GMA’s Basta Everyday Happy and Sarap Diva

Do you know that cooking oil is important in a healthy diet?  The oil you choose makes a big difference to your health!

Oil high in saturated fat, raise BAD cholesterol, which may lead to high blood pressure.  Choose cooking oil that is high on monounsaturated fat or GOOD cholesterol that helps lower blood pressure.

This is why I always choose Canola Oil. Canola Oil is one of the healthiest cooking oil because of its low saturate fat and high monounsaturated fat content.

Jolly Heart Mate Canola Oil, Better for the Heart, Better
for the Budget, is the heart-healthy, versatile, and value for money cooking oil.

Jolly Canola Oil also has omega 6 and 3 which are good for the heart.  Omega 3 has also been known to help treat several health conditions, such as heart disease, stroke and memory loss.  It also has a pale golden color, light texture, and neutral taste so you can use it for any dish. Jolly Canola Oil also has a high smoking point which makes it ideal for
frying.

Hosted by Donita Rose, GMA 7’s Basta Everyday Happy, recently showcased heart-healthy recipes using Jolly Heart Mate Canola Oil through the month of December. Eight episodes featured Filipino-favorites such as Beef Stew, Crispy Calamari, and one of Donita’s personal favorites “in the whole wide world” as she shares on Instagram, Crispy Binagoongan. She tells of her Beef Kaldereta version "Pinoy ang lasa pero mas bongga! This is my Better Beefier Caldereta made healthier with Jolly Heart Mate Canola Oil!"

Other healthy everyday recipes included Wholesome Chicken, Paella, and this Heart-Healthy Salmon recipe.

When you are having trouble getting pregnant

Although pregnancy may come natural for most, this is not always the reality for some. Have you been wanting to conceive, but to no avail?  This article may be for you.

A male’s inability to cause pregnancy in a fertile woman is called male infertility. If you think your man is experiencing infertility, always let him know you’re there to support him every step of the way.

One of the reasons for male infertility is low sperm count and low sperm motility.

There are several things you and your partner can do to improve his fertility.

One of the things he can do is to avoid smoking.

Smoking is known to mess with his manhood.

Avoid eating junk foods and instead eat fruits and vegetables, especially those rich in Vitamin C, E, Omega-3 and Zinc.

Avoiding hot tubs, which are known to be sperm killers. Soaking in hot tubs may work wonders on your man's aching muscles, but over exposure of his testicles to a high level of heat and can lead to fertility problems.

Help Build Your Child's Multiple Intelligence

What type of SMART are you?

The theory of Multiple Intelligences developed by Dr. Howard Gardner, a professor of education at Harvard University, suggests that there are eight (8) different intelligences or learning styles:

Children are born with the capacity for all different types of smarts.  However, we focus too much on linguistic and logical-mathematical intelligence and fail to give as much attention on the other intelligences. Children with smarts other than brain smart, receive very little reinforcement at home and in school, in nurturing their true intelligence.

The challenge to us parents is to provide our children with opportunities to cultivate these gifts.

How do we develop our children’s intelligence?

Your child needs your help to succeed in life, especially in todays competitive and more complex society.  Here are some of the things we can do as parents?

    • Expose your child to new experiences.  Spend time listening to different types of music together, attend theater plays and musicals, visit museums, take nature walks and commune with nature.  The list goes on.
    • Limit computer play and encourage them to do active outdoor sports.
    • Play make believe and explore different worlds: real or not.
    • Buy toys that foster active thinking and imagination.

Check out "ExploreSandbox," an innovative activities set that teaches by means of creative play.

My boys busy with their magical bird.

    Creative play using ExploreSandbox.
My boys are so good at this!

    • Stay away from junk foods and give them healthy food options. Feed them fruits and vegetables to keep them healthy and strong. Drink vitamins and minerals rich milk. Try high nutrients milk formula, such as Progress Pre-school GOLD.

One of the best gift you can give your children is the gift of harnessing their full potential.
