SM Welcomes the Year of the Dog with a "Bow-Wow"

Welcome the 2018, the Year of the Earth Dog with these lovelies from the SM Accessories Kids and Toy Kingdom!

Just looking at those adorable button eyes, makes me want to buy one for myself...

Like children born in the Year of the Dog, these plush toys are cheerful, obliging, and a good sport. The Dog, after all, is said to be the most likeable sign in the Chinese Zodiac.
And kids born in the Year of the Dog are said to be honest, intelligent, egalitarian, and super-loyal.  These children are playful, friendly, and outgoing, appreciated by peers and adults alike for their warmth, candidness, and sense of humor.  A dog is a very good and supportive friend to have indeed. When the chips are down, the Dog will always be at your side.

Check out these little Pomeranian dog plushies dressed in birthday, sailor and baseball costumes.

Cutie Beagles begging for a pat.

Paw Patrol fans are sure to go gaga, over these Paw Patrol inspired plushies.

These plushies are sure to make such perfect playmates!

Bring home hugs, joy and charm with these adorable little dogs - available at the SM Accessories Kids department of The SM Store and Toy Kingdom.

Addicted to Toys! ~ Yexel's Toy Museum at Boom na Boom Complex

Do you love toys?

I have long been hearing about the Yexel's Toy Museum in Las Pinas.  I have been wanting to go there for sometime now, but it is quite far from where I live and never got the time.

I was glad to learn we would be visiting the Yexel's exhibit at the Boom na Boom, CCP complex as part of my son's school field trip (I think I am more excited to join this fieldtrip than my son)!

This toy collection, by  Yexel Sebastians  started out as a hobby~of personal toy and eventually was transformed into a museum.

The original Yexel Museum is located at 52 Sampaguita Road, Pilar Village, Las Pinas City and was first opened to the public in 2012.

The one we visited at Boom-na-Boom complex is just an exhibit, but was okay, since we still managed to get some awesome pictures and best, my son had a great time posing right next to his favorites:

KINDER JOY (a fascinating toy)

My 6th year old introduced me to Kinder Joy

We were walking pass a snack bar, when he pulled me to ask, if he can get two (i.e., one for him and his "kuya" - thoughtful right?)  I looked at the item, and it seemed safe enough, so I agreed!  At careful inspection, I was surprised to learn that Kinder Joy is from the Ferrero brand.

Kinder Joy is unique, because inside each egg is an exciting surprise.
Look for a toy egg packaging.

  Let's see what's inside:
  • A unique snack: a milky cream and a cocoa cream with two crispy wafer balls – and

  • A great toy in each egg.

The toys need to be constructed. There is an easy to follow instruction sheet, that would sometime require little adult supervision, depending on age.

My 10 year old got a top play set.

Character Bracelet for my 6th year old.
He did this on his own and proudly displayed it for me to see.

VERDICT:

Kinder Joy is special indeed and knowing that it came from a respected brand "Ferrero", you are assured it is of high quality.

The toys are also well made (although I don't think they are safe for very young children).  The toys were designed to make your kids think and imagine.

I am a fan of the overall concept, but I would limit the sweets in take, especially after 6pm.
