Motherhood Starts Here

Tips from one Happy Mama to another:

The Journey to motherhood is exciting and at the same time a frightening experience.

From the time you knew you are conceiving, everyday is going to be a day of whys and how.

The JOURNEY - Coping with pregnancy Anxieties

Pregnancy is a new journey for every woman and whether it is meticulously planned or comes unexpectedly, one thing is definite – a woman’s life will never be the same.  It is an experience that will reinvent your world for you.

Welcome to a whole new world (cliché)!

The idea of uncertainty, added responsibility and pressure may cause you to start questioning your competencies. And whether or not you think you are ready for motherhood, you are forced into this new, but wonderful world.

Are you READY?  A grand adventure begin

The good thing is, pregnancy is designed to naturally prepare you for motherhood. While it is inevitable that you feel uncomfortable, anxious and scared about what comes next, there are moments you will be filled with joy.

Being apprehensive about the responsibility for another human life is normal, but know that this should not hinder you from enjoying the journey towards motherhood.

The strength of a true Mama - Redefining a spectrum of Fear

Fear originates from the sense of not being in control.  Worrying is a normal when you are pregnant, but whenever you feel anxious, it is best to:
  • Try to take control of things you can manage and channel your energy towards something positive.
  • Indulge yourself in self-reflection and positive self-talk.
  • Think of an empowering and convincing statement that will oppose your limiting belief.

KEY PHRASE
The secret to coping with your worries is redefining fear.  Simply look at fear as an opportunity for self-discovery, the gateway from simply wishing and wanting, to doing and being.

Be fit and fab by taking control

Take control of your pregnancy and do not let your pregnancy take over you.

KEY PHRASE:
Make continuous efforts to transform fear into power – power to decide on how you will act on your anxieties and live your life the way you’ve pictured it to be.

This is a chance for you to know and understand you and your baby more.

Preparing for motherhood

Since pregnancy is all about coping with your new role as mother, this is a most opportune time to adjust your lifestyle in a way that you live the life you dream for yourself while ensuring to provide the life you dream for your child as well. Nine months is enough time to form good habits and to prepare yourself for motherhood.

For starters, drink ProMama. ProMama assures you that, yes you can cope with your worries and you can and will become a good mother.

ProMama contains Vitamins C, E and A. It’s coupled with Mental Enhancers like DHA, a nutrient important for a child’s visual and mental development; Folic Acid, which is essential for the development of the nervous system and in preventing neural tube defects; and Zinc, which assists in fetal neurodevelopment.

ProMama’s formula also contains Bone and Muscle Builders such as Vitamin D to support an unborn baby’s bone development; Protein, the building block of all tissues; and Calcium, which supports bone development.

ProMama gives you the assurance that your baby receives the all essential nutrients necessary for development.

With the help of ProMama, you can enjoy your pregnancy with no worries.  By taking control, you can be the good mom that you hope to be.

KEY PHRASE:
“Mama yes you can take control. Mama yes you can be fit and fab.”

  1. This post got me feeling nostalgic about my pregnant days. I was discouraged to drink any formulated milk by my OB though! However, I agree that we should have control over our pregnancy. :-)

    1. Thanks for dropping by Marie Angeli!

Pregnancy is really stressful physically. I drink milk regularly, which I think did me good. I needed the extra boost of energy to pull me through the day.

  3. You know, by the grace of God, although I battled with certain conditions during my pregnancies, they were all fairly happy ones. I was able to respond well to crises which happened to us then. :)

    1. I don't know how drinking milk can be bad for you and your baby. I was on milk the entire time I was pregnant with both my boys and I could say it did me good. Growing babies inside you absorbs nutrients in your body and eating healthy (including having milk) is supposed to replenish the needed nutrients. My boys started walking at 10months, sometimes I would think it was because they have strong bones with all the milk I had while I was pregnant.

  5. Wasn't able to try ProMama during my two pregnancies since I got addicted to Anmum (Chocolate). I'm not really sure which one's less expensive yet very nutritious. Anyways, thanks for this information. :)

    1. That's true. A caring and understanding husband sometimes spells the difference between a difficult pregnancy and a smooth sailing one.

  8. Pregnancy for me was kind of difficult. I wasn't emotionally and mentally prepared, plus the idea of getting too big scares me. But yes, pregnancy got better for me, with the help of my family and husband :)

    1. Hi Ayi, I was up most nights when I was pregnant. I was worried of pregnancy complications, etc. and was praying my baby would come out healthy. I think these are normal for pregnant women. It is good we have supportive husbands!

  9. this post made me think about my own pregnancy, and unfortunately, both were not that much of a happy journey cause aside from the stress of having a growing little angel in my body, II had the support of only one (the husband) cause the pregnancy was unwanted. anyways, I think that for the second time around, the vitamins and milk that I had drunk since first trimester did a significant difference on my son. :3
